Historic Castle District Tour
Our tour starts in Holy Trinity Square where the beautiful Mathias Church is located. A few steps away stands the Fishermen’s Bastion, a fairytale lookout terrace with sweeping vistas to the city. After that we will walk along the promenade at the western castle walls and reach Parade square.
From there we enter the royal part of the quarter, including a former convent, where currently the Prime Minister of Hungary resides and where Alexander Palace, the seat of the Hungarian President is located. Right next to the Palace you find the upper stop of the Funicular, one of the oldest in Europe.
After entering the Royal Palace area, we will visit the Mathias Fountain, the newly rebuilt Royal Guard and Riding Hall. We will walk down the hill through Castle Garden Bazaar, a neo-Renaissance masterpiece and our tour will end at Chain bridge, on the Buda side.

Parliament & Opera House
The tour starts from Kossuth Square (Kossuth Lajos tér) next to the magnificent Parliament building. After that, we will walk through the beautiful Liberty Square, surrounded by elegant financial buildings, where the city's only communist monument is also located.
A few steps from this square, you will pass in front of the former Saving Bank Buildingof the Post, one of the masterpieces of Hungarian Art Nouveau. Not fa from here we will reach St. Stephen's Basilica, the largest catholic church in Budapest. You will learn why it took more than 50 years to build it.
Then we will arrive at the splendid Opera House, which is located on the capital’s most elegant avenue, called Andrássy. We will walk back to the city center on this elegant avenue, and our tour will end at Deák Square, in the city centre.
